| Moonsday, Nay 14th:
While Sir Quentin the Trustworthy travels in North-West Kymhohshire, he meets a conniving peasant in a farm. He tells Sir Quentin of rumors that a looming threat lurks around the swamp of South-West Kymhohshire, 14 days ride away.
Sir Quentin the Trustworthy makes an oath to slay this noxious monstrosity.
Having been dancing for food scraps at the local theives' guild for the entire month of Nay, i was more than happy to be approched by a knight on a knightly quest. He was apperently hired to slay a horrible monster and wanted a bard to recount his quest. Unfortunately, he ordered me to put together an adventuring trouppe. Having spent six hours to find a standard bearer, i cut my losses and bought a carrier pigeon to be our guide, and drew a squirely face on an egg. Luckily, Sir Quentin trusted me that Eggbert is in fact a validated squire.
| Twosday, Nay 15th:
Riding east, Sir Quentin the Trustworthy meets a tall peasant in a farm in North-West Kymhohshire.
Angus McMutton the Standard-Barer talks to him. The peasant chats with Angus McMutton for a while.
When we aproached the farm we saw a tall, dark skinned peasant, and Angus (who is also dark skinned) hailed him in an old greeting, and they spoke like old friends. Later he told me how his family moved from Afriana to Sconchland over a generation ago, and they even took up Sconchish names, though they were the only black people in town. He and his brother Diamond, the peasant, moved to Kymhohshire to start a chain of restaurants. They were wondering whether to call it "Black Angus" or "Black Diamond". I suggested something with a farm/circus theme.
| Wedday, Nay 16th:
Voyaging south, Sir Quentin the Trustworthy meets a powerful woodsman in a woods in North-West Kymhohshire.
Eggbert the Squire argues with him. The woodsman makes a rude gesture towards Eggbert.
We passed a woodsman today, apperantly he has a problem with eggs...
| Thorsday, Nay 17th:
Going east, Sir Quentin confronts a wolf in a woods in North-West Kymhohshire.
Sir Quentin proves far superior to the wolf. Sir Quentin the Trustworthy has slain the wolf!
While Jeremy was scouting, a wolf tried to eat him. Fortunately Sir Quentin has a fiery prejudice towards wolves, and his black sword of doom has a fiery prejudice towards... well, everything. Since there was only one pound of meat on the wolf, Angus made us all 1/4 pounders, with some of Black Diamond's cheese
| Friarday, Nay 18th to Moonsday, Nay 21st:
Sir Quentin the Trustworthy ventures to the south confidently, from a woods in North-West Kymhohshire to a woods in West Kymhohshire.
Jeremy showed his worth to the team by finding the way through the first half of the Mak Forest.
| Twosday, Nay 22nd:
Traveling south, Sir Quentin meets a wolf in a woods in West Kymhohshire.
Sir Quentin's cleverness is equal to the wolf's resourcefulness, yet Sir Quentin's quickness overcomes the wolf, and Sir Quentin's might outdoes the wolf's power. Sir Quentin the Trustworthy has slain the wolf!
While we were stopped at a stream to drink, a wolf with many scars attacked Sir Quentin. It was a pitched battle, though Sir Quentin succeeded, though he took quite a knock to the head, and claimed the success was due to the efforts of his faithful squire Eggbert. With the meat, Angus made us all what he called Big Maks
| Wedday, Nay 23rd to Satyrday, Nay 26th:
Sir Quentin the Trustworthy journeys to the south without incident, from a woods in West Kymhohshire to a swamp in South-West Kymhohshire.
Finally out of the Mak forest and into the Serpent Swamps... fun.
| Sonday, Nay 27th:
Trekking south, Sir Quentin meets a snake in a swamp in South-West Kymhohshire.
The snake's toughness is countered by Sir Quentin; yet Sir Quentin's quickness is superior to the snake--furthermore Sir Quentin's cleverness is too great for the snake's sagacity. Sir Quentin the Trustworthy has slain the snake!
The swamps name sake gave us a visit today, and in all his armour, Sir Quentin was slightly less agile. After he had Eggbert look after his armour for him.
| Moonsday, Nay 28th:
Sir Quentin the Trustworthy reaches the swamp of South-West Kymhohshire and finds a lethal snake.
Sir Quentin's force outdoes the snake's might, nevertheless the snake's dexterity overwhelms Sir Quentin...and the snake's strategy is superior to Sir Quentin. Sir Quentin the Trustworthy has been wounded by the snake!
In the melee, Eggbert the Squire is injured!
When we finally found the monsters lair, it launched at us at full speed. Sir Quentin took it in the chest waiting for Eggbert to help him don his armour, and the force caused Sir Quentin to fall over onto Eggbert, fracturing his shell. I dragged Sir Quentin away, who was weeping and holding his fallen Eggbert, while Black Angus fought away the serpent with Sir Quentin's sword of doom.
| Twosday, Nay 29th:
Sir Quentin the Trustworthy fully recovers!
After 2 days, Eggbert the Squire dies of his injuries.
After taking a meal of Angus' "Egg McMutton" we all felt better about our loss, even Sir Quentin recovered from his wounds. He later wept on the loss of poor brave Eggbert.
