| Sonday, Nay 6th:
While Sir Benjamin the Courageous travels in West Myggahaun, he meets a gangly sage in a farm. He tells Sir Benjamin the story that a hateful danger feeds upon people close to the woods of North-East Myggahaun, 20 days ride away.
Sir Benjamin the Courageous pledges to do away with this hateful brute.
I had just joined up with the biggest strongest knight ever! He was like a mountain, muscles on his muscles. Not too bright though, and he looked like he wasn't too sure of which way to hold his sword, but he was strong, and very enthusiastic. How was I to know the tragedy that would ensue?
| Moonsday, Nay 7th to Thorsday, Nay 10th:
Sir Benjamin the Courageous travels to the east quickly through the plains of West Myggahaun.
A fine start, much progress on our first 4 days of travel...
| Friarday, Nay 11th:
Riding north, Sir Benjamin encounters a bear in a woods in West Myggahaun.
Sir Benjamin's wiliness is superior to the bear's strategy--in contrast the bear's agility outdoes Sir Benjamin--and the bear's toughness is too great for Sir Benjamin. Sir Benjamin the Courageous has been wounded by the bear!
In the melee, Martin the Sage is slain!
Then disaster struck. Out of the blue, a bear appeared. Sir Benjamin managed to sneak up on the beast, but even his great strength could not overcome that of the bear. And that thing moved fast for it's size. Leaving Sir Benjamin broken on the ground, the bear began tearing into Martin, who was killed on the spot before we could drive it off.
| Satyrday, Nay 12th:
Sir Benjamin the Courageous's injuries turn septic!
Added to his broken bones, this wasn't good at all.
| Sonday, Nay 13th:
Sir Benjamin the Courageous's injuries take a turn for the worse.
Worse??? How could his injuries get any worse??? Now he was having trouble breathing, and was telling us he could see Martin right now. I don't think he's going to last much longer.
| Moonsday, Nay 14th:
Sir Benjamin the Courageous rests in a woods in West Myggahaun.
I think tonight's going to be the last. It's amazing he's lasted this long.
| Twosday, Nay 15th:
Sir Benjamin the Courageous dies of his injuries!
Goodbye, Sir Benjamin. He was all in all, the most tragic and pitiful knight ever. Despite his enormous strength and courage, he only managed to last 9 days, 4 of which were spent travelling, and another 4 spent in the long agonizing process of dying. His one moment of glory was the fight against the bear, which he lost. In all my experiences as a bard, he is the first knight I have heard of that never managed to best a single opponent, not even a thug or bandit or snake. Perhaps if he had run away, he would have lived to fight another day. Goodbye Sir Benjamin.
